A way to remove all traces on a .kicad_pcb file without altering components.

I have a complex board with a number of custom chips etc. in a .kicad_pcb file and want to use is as a baseline to make a new board where I delete several IC's and add new ones.

When I import the new .net data and "cleanup Tracks & Vias the ground and Vcc traces still go to where the old IC pins were and many told races prevent me positioning the new chips. Freerouter does not seem to reroute around the new pins and in fact leaves traces going right through the new pins.

My question is,
Is there a way to clean all traces from the board but leave the chips etc. in place and start over just as if it was a first time .net board.

One, way, certainly, is to click outside, drag, selection box appears,
right-click to end, and then do a block delete operation.

You can uncheck everything except Tracks, etc.
