Discussion:
How do I import a Mentor Board Station netlist for layout in Kicad?

Currently we use Mentor Design Architect as schematic tool and Mentor
Board Station for layout.
An additional Board Station licence is expensive, and I want to
evaluate Kicad for layout of simple boards i.e. 2 / 4 layers
prototypes or the like.
To keep a link to our existing component library and part number
system I want to continue to use Design Architect as schematic tool
and import the netlist to Kicad.
How do I do that?

Hi Torben,
PCBNew, the kicad PCB design tool, accepts Netlist files with
the EESchema or ORCAD PCB 2 formats. So, if you can export from Mentor
Design Architect in Orcad PCB 2, you can try that solution.

Remy.
