Hi,

if not circle, oval, square, or trapezoid, how do you do it?

See pads 5,6,7,8 on page 7. Their inner corners beveled.

In a build from source, there's rounded rectangle now, but that doesn't
work for me either

You have to use at least 3 pads, use the same pin number, 2 rectangles and
a square, rotate the square 45 degrees to make a chamfer.

One man's ground is another man's power return. Yes it does. Mainly
for the solder mask.

This is how it turned-out. The board went off to manufacture yesterday

I'll revise my statement to say the solder stencil counts more than the mask
