I'm having a problem with some symbols wanting connections to the Vss net
and some wanting VSS. This leads to ERC complaints of "Global labels are
similar". What's going on?

Because the symbols are user created, some use Vss some VSS. Totally
at the whim of whoever created the lib or module. I suppose that you
could run the source through a script to do a quick replace on Vss to
VSS.

However it's much better practise if everyone uses their own copies
of verified libs and modules. Then you KNOW things are correct and don't
get caught out. It only takes a few moments to check and verify a
component to confirm that it is fit for your use.
