Wings 3D to Kicad - How to change color of the 3D models?

This may not be a Kicad question (or it might?). I'm no expert in wings 3D nor kicad, but all my models that I make for kicad becomes white. Even if I have changed the face color in wings 3D.

Or at least I think I have changed the color:
Selecting one or more faces - right-click, and then select "Vertex color" from the pop-up menu. While the color shows in wings 3D, it doesn not in kicad (after exporting to .vrml).

Answering my own post here, in case others wonder about the same thing.

This post from Sergey put me on the right track: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/kicad-users/message/6399

But what I still missed was how to change the actual color of the new material. Well the answer was hidden in plain sight. Kind of. I just had to click that "color square" which appears to the right of the Diffuse slider (and/or possible Ambient, Specular or Emission, if applicable, but I used diffusion).
