One of the permissable formats of the *.PEN file that must accompany any Gerber RS427D file appears to be text with each line formatted as...

<Vertical>, <Horizontal>, <Type>, <Tool> [,<Drill>]

where <Tool> is any of
L = Line
R = Rectangle
C = Circle
O = Oval

E.g...

0.012, 0.012, L, D112

The file must have the same name as the *.GBR file, and be placed in the same directory that the *.GBR file is loaded from.

Jim

PS: I could not find any documentation on this, but module "dcode.cpp" provided lots of clues.
